President and Chief Operating Officer of South Portfolio Properties
Mike Neubecker is President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Resorts International?s South Portfolio Properties, overseeing MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Signature at MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, W Hotels, MGM Grand Laundry, and Shadow Creek Golf Course. With more than 33 years of continuous service with MGM Resorts International, Mike is a seasoned hospitality and gaming executive with extensive experience in finance, operations, development, and executive leadership.
A native of Michigan, Mike began his career with MGM Resorts in 1993 in the Accounting Department at MGM Grand Las Vegas, where he held a variety of Finance leadership positions. In 1999, he joined the opening team for the temporary MGM Grand Detroit and was later appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he played a key leadership role in the development and opening of MGM Grand Detroit?s $800 million permanent hotel and casino.
After 10 years in Detroit, Mike returned to Las Vegas as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of MGM Grand Las Vegas. In 2016, he returned to Detroit as President and Chief Operating Officer before returning to Las Vegas in December 2019 as President of MGM Grand Las Vegas.
As MGM Resorts evolved its Las Vegas operations into a portfolio leadership structure, Mike assumed responsibility for New York-New York and Excalibur and, in 2025, was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the South Portfolio Properties, adding Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and W Hotels to his leadership responsibilities.
Throughout his career, Mike has been involved in the development and operation of major hospitality and entertainment destinations, including some of Southern Nevada?s most prominent resorts. His experience includes finance, large-scale capital projects, and complex resort operations.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
