Treasurer
J. Ken Diaz was elected Clark County Treasurer on November 8, 2022. He began his 20+ years in public service stationed locally at Nellis Air Force Base. In 2004, he joined Clark County first working in the Budget Department and then Internal Audit. In 2016, he accepted the Manager of Treasury Services position in the Treasurer’s Office and was appointed Assistant County Treasurer in September 2018 by then Clark County Treasurer Laura B. Fitzpatrick.
Ken is a CPA and has many years of high-level experience in the areas of accounting and auditing. Before joining Clark County, he worked in the Las Vegas office of Deloitte & Touche and was an Accounting Manager with Nevada Power Company.
Ken moved to Las Vegas in the 1970’s graduating from Ed W. Clark High School, and attained both his Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is the youngest of eight children and is the proud father of a son and daughter.
